How it works
- Open the template in a spreadsheet app, such as Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. Keep the header row and write one row per player.
- Save or export it as CSV, and put it where your phone or tablet can open it: Files, iCloud Drive, Google Drive or Downloads.
- In CricSim, start a new career. Under 4 · World, tap Choose file next to Import players and pick your file. You can pick more than one.
- Check the summary. Tap it to see each nation's players and any rows that were skipped, with what to fix. Then start your career.
Players can only be imported when a career starts, not into a career you're already playing.
The columns
Only the first five columns are needed. Leave out a skill, or leave its cell empty, and the game makes one up for the player's nation, role and age, as it does for every player it creates. Columns can be in any order, and capitals, spaces and underscores in their names don't matter. Columns the game doesn't use are ignored.

Nations
India (IND), Australia (AUS), England (ENG), Pakistan (PAK), South Africa (SA), New Zealand (NZ), Sri Lanka (SL), West Indies (WI), Bangladesh (BAN), Afghanistan (AFG), Zimbabwe (ZIM), Ireland (IRE), Scotland (SCO), Netherlands (NED), UAE (UAE), Nepal (NEP), Oman (OMA), Namibia (NAM), Papua New Guinea (PNG), USA (USA).
Squads
- A nation can import up to 30 players. Rows after its 30th are skipped.
- A nation with fewer than 25 imported players gets generated players to make 25, starting with any role your squad is missing, such as a wicketkeeper.
- Imported players are never replaced. They age, develop, get injured and lose form like everyone else.
- Nations you don't import keep the squads that World ID gives them. Their rankings and fixtures can still change, because the sides you import are stronger or weaker. The same World ID and file always make the same world.
- Imported players are paid for their ability, like everyone else, so a squad of stars can start over its wage budget.
- You can manage any nation, imported or not. Other nations' players still need scouting before you see their ratings.
If a row is skipped
A row with a missing or wrong value is skipped. CricSim lists it with its row number in your spreadsheet and what to fix, such as an unknown nation or an age over 40, and the rest of the file still imports. If the whole file can't be used, for example because the header row has no age column or no row passes, you can't start the career until you fix the file or clear the import. Files can be up to 1 MB.
Your file stays with you
CricSim reads the file you pick on your device and keeps the players in your career's save. It doesn't send the file or your players anywhere. See the privacy policy.
